Burdon's powerful voice featured in many Animals' hits, such as "The House of the Rising Sun," "We Gotta Get Out of This Place," and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." However, conflicts led to changes in the band's lineup, and in 1966, Burdon and drummer Barry Jenkins reformed the group as Eric Burdon and the Animals.

Apart from his band projects, Burdon pursued a solo career, releasing albums like "My Secret Life" (2004) and "Soul of a Man" (2006). In 2012, he collaborated with the Greenhornes, and in 2013, he released a new album titled "Til Your River Runs Dry."  

In 1991, Eric and Brian Auger teamed up to form the "Eric Burdon - Brian Auger Band," including members like Dave Meros, Don Kirkpatrick, and Paul Crowder. They released the live album "Access All Areas." 

After disbanding in 1994, Burdon formed "Eric Burdon's i Band" with Larry Wilkins, Dean Restum, Dave Meros, and Mark Craney.
