Chris McNally, also called Christopher McNally, is an actor from Canada. He is famous for playing Lucas Bouchard in the TV show "When Calls the Heart" on the Hallmark Channel since 2019.

Chris McNally and Julie Gonzalo fell in love while working together. Their first movie as a duo was "The Sweetest Heart" in 2017. In the movie, Gonzalo plays Maddie and McNally plays Nate, two high school sweethearts who reconnect when Nate returns to give a lecture at a local hospital. 

Gonzalo said, "Chris is a wonderful person and a terrific actor. It was easy to get to know him and feel comfortable around him. We were able to get to know each other a bit before the film started, and that always helps the process. Throughout the film, we got along great and worked as much as we could together." 

Julie added, "Chemistry is really important, and sometimes you don’t have enough time to get to know each other before cameras start rolling. Luckily, for Chris and me, it felt very natural, and we got along quickly and had a lot in common." 

Their relationship continued to grow after the movie. McNally shared that he impressed Gonzalo with his dance moves after learning choreography for the movie "A Winter Princess." He said, "I waltzed (Julie) around the living room. But she’s South American, so now she wants me to learn to Salsa."

Julie Gonzalo and Chris McNally have kept their relationship private over the years, not talking about it much in public. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, McNally remembered a camping trip with his girlfriend and their dogs. 

"We were in Big Bear, and the coyotes started howling, which made the dogs anxious," McNally said. "They stayed alert for a bit, but then they got tired and cuddled up on blankets and pillows and fell asleep. It was really cute." 

"After that, Julie and I sat in front of the tent, enjoying the stars," Chris continued. "We opened the tent cover, sat outside, and had some wine. It was peaceful, like having our little porch on the car roof, with our dogs asleep beside us. It was great."

Julie Gonzalo and Chris McNally happily announce the arrival of their bundle of joy. In 2022, Gonzalo shared a heartwarming photo on her Instagram, capturing the moment their first child was born. 

"Our hearts are overflowing... Welcome, baby M," the caption expressed. 

Later in June of the same year, Julie also shared a lovely photo of McNally with their daughter, writing, "Happy Father’s Day, my love... she’s a fortunate little girl #happyfathersday to all."

Chris McNally hails from Scarborough, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto, where he was born. His family relocated to North Vancouver when he was approximately one year old.
